Healthy Donuts

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces whole wheat bread dough
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup evaporated cane juice
  • 3 cups olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 prepare dough according to instructions; add in the honey while kneading and add some whole wheat flour to dough if dough is too sticky; wait for it to rise.
  • 2 form into rings (or whatever shape you want: balls, hearts, flowers, etc).
  • 3 heat olive oil at medium heat.
  • 4 fry shaped dough for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • 5 brush with evaporated cane juice or whatever you want (frosting, etc.).
