Ginger Cheese Muffins

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2 sift together dry ingredients.
  • 3 combine egg, milk, and molasses.
  • 4 add to dry ingredients, stirring constantly.
  • 5 beat until just barely smooth.
  • 6 add butter and stir in cheese.
  • 7 fill muffin pans 2/3 full.
  • 8 bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
