Ginger Cheese Muffins

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- 2 sift together dry ingredients.
- 3 combine egg, milk, and molasses.
- 4 add to dry ingredients, stirring constantly.
- 5 beat until just barely smooth.
- 6 add butter and stir in cheese.
- 7 fill muffin pans 2/3 full.
- 8 bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
