Ginger Raisin Muffins

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1/2 cup shortening (or marg)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup raisins
Recipe
- 1 cream shortening with sugar and salt.
- 2 blend milk and molasses and add.
- 3 stir flours and spices.
- 4 pour liquid ingredients into dry.
- 5 drop in raisins and stir just enough to moisten.
- 6 spoon into the well greased muffin tins and bake 400f 20 minutes.
- 7 serve warm.
