Laura's Cinnamon Scones

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 5 ounces cinnamon baking chips (hersheys)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 mix all dry ingredients together.
  • 2 in a food processor mix all dry ingredients and the butter. pulse a few times until it looks crumbly. or cut the butter in with a pastry knife.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg and vanilla.
  • 4 add the milk mixture through the feed tub of your food processor, and mix for approximately 20 seconds.
  • 5 remove to a bowl and hand mix in the cinnamon chips.
  • 6 place in scone pan or pat them into 8 triangles.
  • 7 bake @ 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
