Like Otis Spunkmeyer Chocolate Muffins

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 2 ounces baking chocolate squares
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup light sour cream
  • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light karo syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 put 19 muffin cup liners in regular sized muffin pans.
  • 3 in microwave, for 1 minute, melt the first 3 ingredients- semisweet chocolate, baking chocolate and butter.
  • 4 stir.
  • 5 microwave a little more if needed.
  • 6 add sour cream and brown sugar, stir.
  • 7 add karo syrup, egg and vanilla and stir.
  • 8 add flour, soda and salt and stir.
  • 9 add chocolate chips.
  • 10 fill muffin cups 1/2 to 2/3 full.
  • 11 bake 10-15 minutes.
  • 12 don't overbake.
