Gem Scones

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups self raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, level
  • 1 egg
  • 155 ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, level
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 200 deg c (400 deg f).
  • 2 heat gem irons.
  • 3 cream butter and sugar; add egg, beat well then add milk.
  • 4 lastly add sifted flour and mix in lightly.
  • 5 spoon into heated, greased gem irons.
  • 6 cook 7 to 10 minutes.
  • 7 best served warm with butter.
