Oatmeal Bannock (low Fat)

Ingredients

- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
- 1/3 cup low-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, oats, baking powder, sugar and salt. with pastry knife cut in cold butter until crumbs are size of peas.
- 2 pour in milk and mix quickly just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- 3 turn dough onto lightly floured board; knead 3 - 5 times. pat out dough to about 3/4" thickness. cut into rounds with a 2" cutter.
- 4 bake on parchment or ungreased sheet at 425 for 12 - 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
