Palak Raita (spinach Curd)

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 bunches spinach, blanched and coarsely chopped
  • 1 big onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 6 cups plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Recipe

  • 1 beat yogurt in a bowl and keep aside.
  • 2 heat oil in a pan, add red chillies powder, salt, black pepper powder and wait for a second.
  • 3 add onions and sauté till tender.
  • 4 now add spinach and sauté for at least 5 minutes on medium heat.
  • 5 allow the mixture to cool down a little and then add gently into the yogurt bowl.
  • 6 mix,allow it to rest for a few minutes and enjoy with stuffed indian breads or spiced rice.
