Parmesan Butter Pan Biscuits

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400'.
  • 2 in 9" square baking pan melt butter in oven (3 to 5 minutes).
  • 3 meanwhile, in medium bowl combine remaining ingredients except milk.
  • 4 stir in milk just until moistened.
  • 5 turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead 10 times or until smooth.
  • 6 roll dough into 12x4"rectangle.
  • 7 cut into 12 (1") strips.
  • 8 dip each strip into melted butter; place in same pan.
  • 9 bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
