Mom's Southern Style Cornbread

Ingredients
- Servings: 3
- 1 cup cornmeal (i prefer lilly buttermilk cornmeal)
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1/8 cup water
- 1/8 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425.
- 2 mix all ingredients except for butter.
- 3 once oven is preheated, melt butter in a small cast iron skillet on high setting, swirl butter to coat sides of pan.
- 4 quickly mix melted butter in cornmeal mixture.
- 5 immediately pour mixture in skillet and bake for 20 minutes,.
