Easy Whole Grain Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour (seeded, wholegrain, bread flour)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 g yeast (1 packet)
  • 460 ml warm water

Recipe

  • 1 combine honey, yeast and a few tablespoons of the warm water. allow to stand until foamy.
  • 2 combine flour and salt.
  • 3 add warm water and yeast/honey mixture to the flour and salt. stir until combined. the dough will be sticky, but should not be wet. add additional water, if needed.
  • 4 place in bread pan and let stand, covered, in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
  • 5 bake at 200°c/400°f for 40-50 minutes (50 minutes for a dark, crispy crust).
