Crusty French Bread

Ingredients
- 3 (1/4 ounce) packets yeast
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- 6 tablespoons salad oil
- 1/3 cup sugar
- flour
- 4 teaspoons salt
Recipe
- 1 dissolve yeast in water.
- 2 add other ingredients and enough flour to make a stiff dough.
- 3 let rise, punch down, and make into three or four long, thin loaves.
- 4 place on baking sheets dusted wiht corn meal and let rise.
- 5 cut gashes into loaves, and place into a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
- 6 for a glaze, you can brush tops with mixture of one beaten egg and 2 tablespoons of water.
