Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening (or 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk (or sour milk)
Recipe
- 1 mix first 4 ingredients and add shortening.
- 2 mix like pie pastry.
- 3 stir soda into milk.
- 4 add to flour mixture.
- 5 roll out and cut in rectangles.
- 6 bake 400°f 15-20 minutes.
