- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons butter
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- 2 sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. stir in cornmeal. combine eggs. buttermilk and melted butter. add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring only until smooth. turn into well greased 8 x 8 inch pan. bake for 25 minutes.
