Easy Batter Rolls

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (1/4 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
  • 2 in a saucepan, heat water and butter to 120*. add to dry ingredients; beat until blended.
  • 3 add egg; beat on low for 30 sec, then on high for 3 minute stir in remaining flour (batter will be stiff). do not knead.
  • 4 cover, let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minute
  • 5 stir dough down. fill greased muffin cups half full.
  • 6 cover, let rise until doubled, about 40 minute bake at 350* for 15-20 min or until golden brown.
  • 7 cool for 1 min before removing from pan to wire rack. brush tops with melted butter.
