Parmesan Bay Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, chilled and cut into pieces
- 6 tablespoons low-fat buttermilk
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon honey
Recipe
- 1 mix the first 5 ingredients in a bowl.
- 2 cut in the butter using a pastry blender or with hands until the mixture is a coarse meal.
- 3 put the flour mixture in the fridge for 10 min and also preheat the oven to 400°f.
- 4 mix the buttermilk, parmesan and honey in a bowl.
- 5 once the flour mixture is chilled, add the buttermilk mixture and stir until just combined.
- 6 knead lightly (i live at 5000 ft so i often need a little extra buttermilk).
- 7 turn onto a floured counter and roll out into a rectangle.
- 8 lightly sprinkle flour and fold into thirds. repeat once more.
- 9 roll out to about 3/4th inch thickness then cut using the 13/4 in round cutter.
- 10 bake on a parchment lined baking sheet in the 400f oven for 13 minute.
- 11 if you're feeling indulgent, brush the top with melted garlic butter as soon as they're out of the oven.
- 12 serve with soup or pasta and enjoy!
