Egg Biscuits

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • buttermilk, sufficient to bring total liquid to 1 1/4 cups

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 combine all dry ingredients in large bowl. beat eggs together with buttermilk and sour cream in a smaller bowl. slowly add the liquid mixture to dry, mixing as one would pie crust. stop adding liquid when the consistency is like that of a fairly soft pie dough. roll the dough out to about 3/4 inch. cut into biscuits. bake for 15 minutes or until well browned.
