Honey Bunnies (sweet Rolls)

Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2-5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 (1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast, 4 1/2 teaspoons total (or rapid rise)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup raisins (for eyes)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 in large bowl combine 1 1/2 cups flour, undisolved yeast and salt.
  • 2 heat evaporated milk, water, honey, and butter until very warm (120-130 f) - butter doesn't need to melt.
  • 3 gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer.
  • 4 add eggs and 1/2 cup flour.
  • 5 beat 2 minutes at high speed.
  • 6 with spoon, stir in enough additional flour to make stiff batter.
  • 7 place in greased bowl and spray top with vegetable spray.
