Mom's Biscuits

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 combine dry ingredients.
  • 2 cut in shortening.
  • 3 add just enough milk to make the mixture moist, you probably won't use the full 1/2 cup.
  • 4 knead lightly until smooth. don't over do it. if you do, you will have a hard flat biscut instead of one that is light and fluffy.
  • 5 press dough flat to 1/2 inch. cut into 2 inch circles.
  • 6 place biscuits shoulder to shoulder on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 7 bake at 425 for 8-10 minutes.
