Honey Wheat Bread

Total Time: 3 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water (110 degrees)
  • 2 (4 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 5 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 dissolve yeast in water in large mixing bowl.
  • 2 add honey and stir until melted.
  • 3 add salt, oil and wheat flour and mix well.
  • 4 mix in flour gradually until dough is consistency that can be kneaded.
  • 5 kneed dough on floured surface for 10-15 minutes.
  • 6 lightly coat a large bowl with oil.
  • 7 put dough in oiled bowl and cover with damp cloth.
  • 8 let rise until dough has doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
  • 9 deflate.
  • 10 shape dough into 2 loaves.
  • 11 put loaves into 2 greased loaf pans.
  • 12 let rise until 1 or 1 1/2 inches above loaf pans.
  • 13 bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.
  • 14 let bread cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
