Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons dried yeast
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups buckwheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons dill seeds
Recipe
- 1 dissolve 1 tsp sugar in water and sprinkle yeast over, leave in a warm place until frothy.
- 2 blend together cheese, onion, butter, salt, eggs and the remaining sugar. set aside.
- 3 mix flour with oats and pour in yeast liquid, stir in cheese mixture & dill seeds. knead until smooth.
- 4 place dough in a warm, greased bowl and cover with a damp tea-towel. leave dough in a warm place until doubled in size.
- 5 knock back dough & in a 1.5l casserole, cover & let rise to double again.
- 6 heat the oven to 180.c and bake loaf for 35 mins or until cooked.
