pepperoni biscuits

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/3 cup butter flavor shortening
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk

Recipe

  • 1 combine first 6 ingredients (flour through red pepper).
  • 2 cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  • 3 stir in pepperoni.
  • 4 add milk stirring until moist.
  • 5 turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead a few times.
  • 6 roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter.
  • 7 place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • 8 bake at 425 for 13 to 15 minutes.
  • 9 serve with a bowl of hot cheddar cheese soup.
  • 10 delicious!
