Light And Fluffy Scones

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups milk

Recipe

  • 1 place flour, sugar and salt in bowl.
  • 2 melt butter allow to cool slightly. add egg to butter and beat lightly.
  • 3 add butter and milk to bowl. fold until just combined (mix should be fluffy and slightly sticky to touch)
  • 4 turn onto floured surface. flatten with hands to approx 5cm thick do not fold mixture. cut into squares or cut out circles with cookie cutter.
  • 5 place on oiled tray in 180°c oven for 10-15 minutes or until slightly browned.
