Easy Popovers

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 8 whole eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Recipe

  • 1 mix the eggs.
  • 2 add the milk, salt sugar and flour and hand mix for one minute.
  • 3 do not over-mix!
  • 4 pre-heat popover pan with ½ teaspoon vegetable oil in each cup for 10 minutes.
  • 5 when hot, fill each cup with popover mix 3/4 full.
  • 6 bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • 7 reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for an additional 35 minutes.
  • 8 be sure popovers are cooked inside to prevent collapsing.
  • 9 always use a cookie sheet as a drip pan for excess grease when the popover pops!
