Ninety Minute Rolls

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 -2 1/2 cups flour (may need more)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water (i use all milk)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine (i use butter)
  • oil
  • melted butter

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in small saucepan. add milk and water and heat until very warm, 120-130 degrees.
  • 2 while milk is heating, mix 3/4 cup flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
  • 3 add warmed milk/butter to dry ingredients and beat for 2 minutes on medium speed.
  • 4 add 1/4 cup flour and beat 2 minutes on high.
  • 5 stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough. knead 2-3 minutes.
  • 6 place in greased bowl and let rise for 15 minutes.
  • 7 divide into 12 pieces and shape into balls.
  • 8 place in 8 inch cake pan, brush with oil, and let rise for 15 minutes.
  • 9 bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 10 brush with melted butter and enjoy!
