Double Bran - Multigrain Bread

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
- 1 cup bread flour
- 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon gluten
- 2 tablespoons dry milk
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup bran flakes
- 1/3 cup natural bran, toasted
- 1 1/2 cups water
Recipe
- 1 dissolve yeast in water.
- 2 in separate mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients except flours and salt.
- 3 add melted butter and yeast/water mixture while mixing on low speed with bread hook.
- 4 slowly add flours and salt and mix until firm dough forms, you may need to add a little more bread flour if it's too wet.
- 5 knead into a dough ball, rub with olive oil and place in greased bowl.
- 6 cover loosely with plastic wrap and dish towel.
- 7 let raise until doubled.
- 8 turn onto floured surface and knead.
- 9 form into a loaf and place in 9x5 loaf pan.
- 10 let rise until doubled again.
- 11 bake in 350 degree oven for 30 min.
- 12 remove from pan and brush top with butter or spray with cooking oil.
