Herb Bread

Ingredients
- 1 cup warm nonfat milk (70-80 degrees)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced dried onion
- 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Recipe
- 1 put all of the ingredients into a bread machine (put in order that the bread machine tells you to). let it mix for 5 minute and if wet add 1-2 t. flour, and if dry add 1 -2 t. water.
- 2 when the cycle is done pour on to floured counter and punch down.
- 3 form into a loaf, place in pan, and let rise until doubled -- 45 minute or so.
- 4 bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
- 5 cool on wire rack, and brush with remaining (1 t.) butter.
