Maple Syrup Cornbread

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup nonfat milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
  • 2 in a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, syrup and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • 3 pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. bake at 400°f for 15-20 minutes.
  • 4 serve warm.
