Maple Syrup Cornbread

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup nonfat milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Recipe
- 1 in a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
- 2 in a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, syrup and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
- 3 pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. bake at 400°f for 15-20 minutes.
- 4 serve warm.
