Maple Buttermilk Bread (bread Machine)

Total Time: 3 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water, plus
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/3 cup dry dry buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon gluten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons fast rising yeast (or 2 1/4 t. bread machine yeast)
  • 1 3/8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, plus
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 cup dry dry buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon gluten, plus
  • 1 teaspoon gluten
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons fast rising yeast (or 2 3/4 t. bread machine yeast)

Recipe

  • 1 add all ingredients to the bread machine pan according to the order in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • 2 set crust on medium and program for the basic cycle; press start.
  • 3 when the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack; let cool to room temperature before slicing.
