Louise's Maple Muffins

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon soft butter
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
Recipe
- 1 topping: mix ingredients together in a small bowl until curmbly, and set aside.
- 2 muffins: in a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, rolled oats, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- 3 in another bowl, combine oil, eggs, milk and maple syrup. add to flour mixture; mix just until moistened.
- 4 fill greased muffin pans 3/4 full. sprinkle topping over muffins.
- 5 bake at 375f for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
