Italian Dip

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 drops hot sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil, drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green peppers
  • 2 tablespoons thinly slice green onions
  • breadsticks or tortilla chips

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, cayenne pepper and hot sauce. spread in an ungreased, 9in microwave-safe pie plate.
  • 2 combine cheese and sprinkle half over the cream cheese. combine diced tomatoes and toaato sauce in a bowl.
  • 3 top the cheese with tomato mixture, green pepper and green onion; top with remaining cheese. microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is almost melted, rotating a half turn several times. let stand 1-2 minutes. serve with breadsticks or tortilla chips.
