Herbed Beer Cheese Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle alaskan esb beer
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, finely grated

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 grease and flour a large (9-inch) loaf pan.
  • 3 in a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sage.
  • 4 stir in the alaskan esb and cheese until complete blended.
  • 5 spread evenly in the prepared pan.
  • 6 bake until a thin wooden skewer inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, 50-55 minutes.
  • 7 cool the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
