Herbed Beer Cheese Bread

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle alaskan esb beer
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, finely grated
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 grease and flour a large (9-inch) loaf pan.
- 3 in a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sage.
- 4 stir in the alaskan esb and cheese until complete blended.
- 5 spread evenly in the prepared pan.
- 6 bake until a thin wooden skewer inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, 50-55 minutes.
- 7 cool the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
