Ingredients
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon sumac
- 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup 1% low-fat milk
- 8 tablespoons za'atar spice mix
- 1 tablespoon sumac
- 8 tablespoons olive oil
Recipe
- 1 combine all of the dough ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir well with a wooden spoon or mix in a food processor.
- 2 after the ingredients are combined, let the dough rest 5 minutes.
- 3 mix again for 5 minutes.
- 4 grease the inside of a gallon size freezer bag and place the dough inside.
- 5 make sure there is no air in the bag when you seal it so the dough has room to expand. (you may also divide the dough into four smaller bags.)
- 6 refrigerate over night.
- 7 before using, the dough must come to room temperature which takes about 2 hours.
- 8 place the dough on a floured surface and roll out about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick.
- 9 cut into desired size.
- 10 makes 4 6" pies.
- 11 for the topping mix all of the ingredients together.
- 12 place dough on a pizza stone or a cookie sheet.
- 13 spread topping on each pie and bake in a preheated oven at 450f for 5-8 minutes.
