Herb Pizza

Total Time: 24 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup 1% low-fat milk
  • 8 tablespoons za'atar spice mix
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • 8 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine all of the dough ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir well with a wooden spoon or mix in a food processor.
  • 2 after the ingredients are combined, let the dough rest 5 minutes.
  • 3 mix again for 5 minutes.
  • 4 grease the inside of a gallon size freezer bag and place the dough inside.
  • 5 make sure there is no air in the bag when you seal it so the dough has room to expand. (you may also divide the dough into four smaller bags.)
  • 6 refrigerate over night.
  • 7 before using, the dough must come to room temperature which takes about 2 hours.
  • 8 place the dough on a floured surface and roll out about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick.
  • 9 cut into desired size.
  • 10 makes 4 6" pies.
  • 11 for the topping mix all of the ingredients together.
  • 12 place dough on a pizza stone or a cookie sheet.
  • 13 spread topping on each pie and bake in a preheated oven at 450f for 5-8 minutes.
