Raspberry Chocolate Scones

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 -1 1/2 cup fresh raspberry
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375f.
  • 2 stir together the first 4 ingredients, then buttermilk.
  • 3 fold in raspberries and chocolate chips.
  • 4 cover and chill for 30 minutes.
  • 5 turn out onto a well floured surface and pat down to about 3/4 inch thick.
  • 6 cut into 12-14 triangles, place on lightly greased baking sheet, brush with egg , and sprinkle with a lot of sugar.
  • 7 bake for about 15-20 minutes.
