Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, baking powder, and salt. cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs. add milk and stir just until moistened.
- 2 turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/2 inch thickness. cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
- 3 pour syrup into an 11x7 baking dish. place biscuits on top of syrup. bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes until they are golden brown.
