Maple Biscuit Dessert

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups maple syrup

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour, baking powder, and salt. cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs. add milk and stir just until moistened.
  • 2 turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/2 inch thickness. cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
  • 3 pour syrup into an 11x7 baking dish. place biscuits on top of syrup. bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes until they are golden brown.
