Maori Bread

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups flour
Recipe
- 1 combine yeast, water and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- 2 add all the flour at once.
- 3 mix well.
- 4 knead a few minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5 grease a deep pot with a lid.
- 6 place dough in pot and cover.
- 7 let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 8 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 9 bake, covered, for 45 minutes.
- 10 remove lid and bake an additional 15 minutes.
- 11 remove from oven and take bread out of pot.
- 12 serve hot with honey-citrus butter.
