Herbed Pinwheels

Ingredients
- 1 (17 ounce) package frozen ready-to-bake puff pastry, use 1 sheet from package
- 4 ounces cream cheese with garlic and herbs, softened
- 1 egg, beaten with
- 1 teaspoon water
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400. lightly grease a large baking sheet. thaw puff pastry sheet following package directions. unfold and roll out to a 12x10 rectangle on a lightly floured surface. spread with cheese. roll up, jelly-roll fashion from short side. with serrated knife, cut into 12 one inch slices. tuck loose end under. place on baking sheet. with fingertips flatten each pinwheel slightly. beat egg with water and brush pinwheels. bake 18-20 minutes or until golden. serve warm or at room temperature.
