Finnish Cardamom Sour Cream Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 drops almond extract
  • 3 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

Recipe

  • 1 combine eggs, sour cream, sugar and almond extract.
  • 2 add mixed dry ingredients gradually.
  • 3 pour into a buttered bundt pan that has been dusted with granulated sugar or cookie crumbs.
  • 4 bake at 350f for about 1 hour.
  • 5 cool 5 - 10 minutes before turning out of pan.
  • 6 sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
