Passover Doughnuts

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup matzo meal
  • 3 eggs
  • cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • chopped nuts (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 bring water, salt, sugar and oil to a boil.
  • 2 stir in matzo meal.
  • 3 remove from flame, cool slightly.
  • 4 beat in eggs, one at a time.
  • 5 grease hands and roll dough into balls 2- inches in diameter.
  • 6 sprinkle tops with mixture of sugar and cinnamon (and nuts).
  • 7 dip finger in cold water and press a hole in center of each ball.
  • 8 place on greased cookie sheet.
  • 9 bake at 375 degrees f for one hour.
