Mrs. Woods' French Bread With Tomato

Total Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 7 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons italian seasoning

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients; knead until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  • 2 let rise until doubled in size; punch down.
  • 3 shape into 3 loaves. brush with olive oil and let rise again.
  • 4 slash with knife and bake at 450* for 45 minutes over a pan with ice water.
