Gruyere Cheese Bread Ring

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400*, then heat milk and butter to rolling boil.
  • 2 stir in flour.
  • 3 stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball – about 1 minute.
  • 4 remove from heat and beat in eggs all at once, continue beating until smooth.
  • 5 fold in 2/3 cups cheese.
  • 6 drop dough by tablespoons full onto a greased cookie sheet to form 8" ring.
  • 7 smooth with a spatula.
  • 8 sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 20- 25 minutes (or) until golden.
