Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped onions
- 1 cup flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Recipe
- 1 cook cornmeal and water until still.
- 2 remove from heat and blend in remaining ingredients.
- 3 drop by teaspoon full into the hot shortening and fry for about 7 minutes or until a nice golden brown.
